2-Jan-06 I just realized that, due to the ISP weirdness going on last year, I forgot to list my favorite movies of 2004!. So, here they are, a year late! (My favorite movies of 2005 will be coming soon. I have a few more to see.)

San Diego 2005 GalleryI put together a gallery of photos from this year's Comic-Con International pretty quickly (weeks ago, believe me!!), but I kept forgetting to link to it. View and enjoy!
13-May-05 Ok, so here's what actually did happen. They cut off my access, but didn't do anything with the pages that they were already hosting. I couldn't update any of the old files, so finally I duplicated some of the pages on my new ISP, but a lot of them still live on the old server. Since I can't make any changes to those, but they are unlikely to ever be noticed and deleted, I'll probably slowly replace them with new versions. You might find yourself switching back to an old version of this page unexpectedly, if you happen to hit one of the out-of-date links.
Tony Leung at the Tribeca Film festivalI added two new things - a blog about the films I saw at the Tribeca Film Festival last month, and my photos on Flickr.
12-Oct-04 In two days I'm getting rid of this ISP that I have had for over 6 years. So, a couple things may happen with this site:
  1. If it slipped through the cracks and they forget to cut off my access, it might stay here, and I'll continue to update it.
  2. If they cut off my access, but don't delete the files, it might stay here just as it is, but I won't be able to update it anymore.
  3. If they delete the files, I will try to put it someplace else, but it might take a little while to figure out where.
So, in the meantime, enjoy!

San Diego 2004 GalleryIt took me extra long to get the photos from this year's Comic-Con International together because I had some serious computer problems (my previous computer was stolen!). Well, after dealing with that craziness, I finally downloaded my new pictures, and put together this gallery of highlights.
8-May-04
Southwest Vacation 2004 GalleryAt the end of last month I went on vacation to Albuquerque, Las Vegas, and Southern California. Check out the pictures of old friends, my dad, the neon lights, and some crazy bands.

Ewan McGregorAfter four years of working for a national entertainment magazine, I finally achieved my career goal of actually meeting Ewan McGregor. And it had nothing to do with work. My brain turned into a small blob of jello, but I'm happy to report that I didn't do anything crazy, embarrassing, or illegal. I know this, because after he posed for this picture with me he said things like "Cheers!" and "It was my pleasure!"
16-Nov-03 I wrote a comic book review that was printed in Entertainment Weekly Magazine. It appears in the subscriber-only "Listen2This" section, so if you don't happen to get that, you can check it out here
27-July-03
San Diego 2003 GalleryI went to the Comic-Con International in San Diego (or, as I like to call it, "annual comic book camp") and here're the highlights.
8-July-03
IT List Party 2003 GalleryThe place where I work had this big party on June 23rd at the Roxy in NYC. Many of my coworkers were there, Snoop Dog performed, and there was waaaaay too much alcohol. Here're the pictures to prove it.

Blonde hair!

Hair is my favorite accessory. Jin has been trying to convince me to go blonde for a while now. This is a sort of retro look for me, because I was a super-blonde child. The guy that colored and cut my hair said "Next time, don't dye your hair red!" He's adorable, but strict.

I've added a bunch of movie review haikus, including (among others) reviews of all the films I saw at the Tribeca Film Festival. I've recently learned that these are not true haikus, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying these structured little poems.

11-May-03
Tribeca 2003 GalleryFor the past five days I've been going to the Tribeca Film Festival. I saw a lot of great films (haiku reviews of all of them will be posted soon), and I saw plenty of exciting celebrities milling about. Take a look at my photo gallery. (Special thanks to Jinners, who is always trying to get me to post my photos. To show my appreciation for her encouragement, I blatantly stole her layout! Hahaha!!)

jin's drawing of rachelJin and I went to this restaurant and it took soooooooo long. So we drew pictures on the table, with chalk. Here's a picture that Jin drew of me. I drew one of her too. I think my picture is really silly, but she seems to like it. Check it!

Happy April Fool's day!

I set up my own radio station at launchcast.com. Have a listen and let me know what you think. Or check out radio jinners. Better yet, make one up yourself and share it with me!

A whole bunch of Movie Review Haikus have been added recently. People are getting inspired!

Also, I wrote a little blurb about my new favorite restaurant/bar, Starfoods, and Jinners put it up in the features section of StarTime International Records...D'oh! They took it down. So, you can read my review of Starfoods here.

22-Mar-03

Someone sent me a Movie Review Haiku. I posted it, so take a look, and get inspired. Yours could be up there too!

I'm always curious how people would stumble across this site. Here's a quote from an email I recently received:

Google pulled up your beach house site from my search "bubble tea, Albuquerque." You are apparently Albuquerque's foremost expert on this topic.
I tried it, and it's true! Not sure how that happened.

Ok, some people have been bugging me to redesign my site for a while now. Mainly Jinners, proprietress of on the moon. This is just a start, and the site will probably be evolving over the next few weeks and months. But, hey, it's a start. Check back here for more exciting changes in the near future.
